How to Change USIM

USIM is a subscriber information card mounted in every 5G/LTE mobile phone which can be changed easily by anyone.

  • In case of foreign/other carrier’s mobile phones, Wifi MAC/IMET value may be required.
  • If U+Save Mobile USIM is used with other carriers’ mobile phones (SKT/KT), it may not be possible to use data or call and receive calls
  • It is possible to check the support of multi carrier through the manufacturer of each mobile phone.
  • At Happy Call, a consultant will check the types of mobile phone and USIM once again.
  • 5G plans are available only for 5G mobile phones.

Precautions before Subscription

[Prepaid USIM]

  • After the exhaustion of LTE free data, it will be converted to the safe data.
  • The use period of prepaid USIM calling plan is 30 days including the day of recharging. (At the first subscription, the day of charging will be set through authentication after the receipt of USIM.
  • For the international call, available time to call will be applied differently according to the rate. (Daily 20 minutes available to call for China, Thailand, Mongol, US, Canada, and daily 1 to 3 minutes call for other countries by the rate)
  • The amount for additional recharge will be carried over to the next month even after the termination of use period. It will be available to use for one year after the time of additional recharge (Except, not possible to refund at cancellation)
  • At cancellation, it is possible to cancel within 3 days. Except, it will be possible for a customer subscribed with revocation and phone number transfer to cancel within 3 days including the day of cancellation on the said month/for a customer with a new subscription until the said month.
  • It is not possible to use by micropayment or collect call.
  • It is possible to use Wife but it is not possible to use Wife provided by the telecommunication carrier (not possible to use U+Zone)
  • The application to change the calling plan is available during the use period but it is only possible to use from the following day of the use termination (Possible to change one time during the use period)
  • In case of the said month of activation, the calling plan will be applied by the computation of ten percent. In case of cancellation, temporary stop service, and revocation, a previously provided data will be provided only at the cancellation of closing the account on the said month and the cancellation of stop service. After the said month, the data will disappear. After recharging, it will be possible to use a normal service.
  • The application to change the calling plan is available during use period, but it is possible to use from the following day of use termination (possible to change one time within use period)
  • If recharging is not done within 7 days after activating a phone, you may subject to the cancellation of the service or revocation.
  • If it is not separately specified in the calling plan, the basic provision of voice, text, and data call will be provided only in Korea.

[Postpaid USIM]

  • The promotional discount will not be applied for changing to USIM calling plan in progress of promotional discount in a general USIM calling plan.
  • A subscriber cannot change to USIM calling plan before the termination of a mobile phone contract.
  • In case of USIM calling plan with a postpaid contract, a cancellation fee may occur for the early cancellation before 24 months. (no cancellation fee for non-contract calling plan)
  • Only LTE Mobile Phones are available.(Unavailable for 3G mobile phones)
  • Please Confirm actually usable mobile phone information & USIM Type.
  • All types of U+LTE mobile phones, Other Companies’(SKT/KT) mobiles phones are available from the model released after August, 2014. (Models after iPhone 6, Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy S6)
  • In case of foreign-made/ other company-made mobile phones, Wi-Fi MAC/IMEI Code might be necessary.
  • In case of using U+ frugal mobile USIM from other companies-made(SKT/KT) mobile phones, Data use or Incoming/outgoing calls might be unavailable.
  • It is possible to confirm through each mobile phone manufacturer’s name whether multi-carrier will be supported or not.

Phone Activation Guide

  • At the subscription of USIM calling plan, it is principle for a new subscription to deliver USIM after activating a phone and for the phone number transfer to activate the phone after the receipt of USIM through logistics. (Except, in case of phone number transfer, the use of previous mobile phone will be stopped or cancelled after the activation of USIM)
  • It is available to use LTE mobile phone only, and it is available to activate the USIM alone (Not possible to use 3G mobile phone)
  • At using other carriers’ (SKT/KT) and foreign made mobile phones, if it is not possible to use U+Save Mobile USIM, it may be possible to use after the electronic registration of IMEI code and MAC address of a mobile phone through the customer service. (For some mobile phones, restriction may exist in using parts of function such as video call)
  • A purchase contract will be done with the dealer with a condition of phone number transfer, temporary stop service, and impossible calling plan change within 95 days after the phone activation.
  • If additional documents are required, documents must be sent through FAX after the authentication to finish the activation.
  • Additional service is optional at the USIM subscription in U+Save Mobile Direct Mall.
  • In case of postpaid USIM calling plan, if the activation is done with phone number transfer, the unpaid bill from the previous telecommunication carrier will be withdrawn after 3 to 4 days through U+Save Mobile in the automatic transfer account for telecommunication fee you have designated.

Delivery Guide

  • The delivery of USIM will be done first for the case with no reason for impossible phone activation after the completion of purchase order and happy call.
  • As for the whole area in Seoul/ some areas in Gyeonggi (Gwacheon, Anyang, Goyang), you can receive your phone by quick service upon finishing Happy Call, while as for other districts, it takes one or two days except for the weekend through regular delivery service from the delivery time. (But, it might be delayed due to an island area or a courier’s situation.)
  • Customer will bear the delivery cost that occurs at the time of changing the type of USIM due to the change in mobile phone for actual use.

Order Cancellation

  • Your order may be subject to a cancellation if the preparation of subscription application and the mailing of documents are not completed.
  • Your order may be subject to a cancellation in case of bad credit (postpaid USIM calling plan), surety insurance violator, late payment, non conformed verification for phone number transfer, and unavailable Happy Call.
  • You may be subject to a cancellation at the exhaustion of inventory

Phone Activation Cancellation

  • It is not possible for the cancellation of phone activation by the reason of a simple change of mind. You may request a cancellation (within 14 days after activating the phone) due to the terms and condition of U+Save Mobile Direct Mall and the incompatibility of USIM

Phone Activation Guide

  • For the phone activation through a new subscription, a mobile phone will be delivered after activating the phone.
  • In case of activating a phone with phone number transfer and device change, it is necessary to request the process of phone activation after the receipt of mobile phone through logistics.
    Please check a guidebook enclosed in the delivered mobile phone. (Except, the premium device will be delivered after activating the phone.)
  • Public support fund discount (mobile phone price discount) shall be provided on the condition of maintaining 24 month period of use, while in case of termination within the period, penalty charge shall be paid.
  • Optional contract discount 25% (+ additional discount) shall be provided on the condition of discounting the telephone charge every month for 24 months,while in case of termination within the period, penalty charge shall be paid.
  • Except, the process may be delayed if it is necessary to contact with a customer during the process of phone activation, you may be requested of additional documents through FAX and Email.
  • In case of phone activation with phone number transfer, unrequested bill will be paid through U+Save Mobile in automatic transfer account you have designated.

Delivery Guide

  • After the completion of application, a confirmation will be proceeded through Happy Call and such a case will be delivered first that has no reason for impossible phone activation
  • As for the whole area in Seoul/ some areas in Gyeonggi (Gwacheon, Anyang, Goyang), you can receive your phone by quick service upon finishing Happy Call by two o’clock P.M, while as for other districts, it takes one or two days except for the weekend through regular delivery service from the delivery time. (But, it might be delayed due to an island area or a courier’s situation.)
    ※ In the case of completing opening by 2:00pm when opening in advance, same-day delivery is available.
  • It will not be possible to return after you open the box of a mobile phone. It is only possible to return in an unopened condition.
    (Except, customer will bear the delivery fee)

Order Cancellation

  • It is possible to cancel the application until the phone activation.
  • After the phone activation, it will not be possible to cancel by a simple change of mind. If any defect occurs in the mobile phone device, please proceed with a request for consultation to a contact written in the guidebook for phone activation within 14 days.
  • The order may be subject to cancellation if any reason for impossible phone activation occurs such as bad credit, late payment, and non-conformity of authentication.
  • If the inventory is exhausted, order may be subject to cancellation. In this case, you will be guided through Happy Call.

Exchange

  • Only when you receive the confirmation of defect from the manufacturer, it is available to exchange through the customer service center within 14 days after the phone activation. It will be available to exchange only to the same model and color.

  • In Case there happen some problems such as faulty call quality/faulty terminal equipment, it is possible to exchange with the same model through the opening center without the period limit. (Except for some terminal equipment)

Phone Activation Cancellation

  • The cancellation of phone activation will not be possible by the reason of the simple change of mind and the price change in mobile phone. It is possible to request a cancellation (within 14 days after the phone activation) due to reasons of the terms of U+Save Mobile Direct Mall and the defective calling quality.

Mobile Phone A/S

  • It will be possible for free AS by the manufacturer for one year from the day of phone activation if there exists defect or natural breakdown of mobile phone.
    (LG Electronics: 1588-7777, Samsung Electronics: 1588-3366, PanTech: 1588-9111)
  • As for used mobile phone, in case there happen some problems such as faulty call quality/faulty terminal equipment, it is possible to exchange with the same model through the opening center without the period limit. (Except for some terminal equipment)
    ※ iPhone is available for regular APPLE A/S according to the term of guarantee, or for exchange within 14 days after opening

Use Guide

Use Period: It is available to use for 30 days from the initial charge regardless of moth (Monthly offer is 30 days)

Precaution at Subscription

  • Safety data will be provided converted after LTE free data is used up.
  • The use period of prepaid USIM calling plan is 30 days including the date of charging.
  • The international call time will be applied differently by the rate. (Daily 20 minutes call is available for China, Thailand, Mongol, US, and Canada. Daily 1 to 3 minutes call is available for other nations by the rate)
  • Monthly charging amount is not refundable for other reasons than the cancellation of opening. It is available to refund and cancel before the use of charged amount excluding the said month.
  • Additional charging amount shall be carried over to the following month even after the expiration of use period. It is available to use for one year starting from the additional charging.(Except, not allowable to refund at cancellation)
  • It is available to cancel within 3 days at cancellation. Except, it is available by 3 days for a subscribed customer with right termination and number transfer including the day of cancellation/new subscription by the said month (Equivalent to postpaid)
  • It is not available to use by micropayment or collect call
  • Wifi is available but not allowable to use Wifi provided by the carrier (not possible to use U+zone)
  • The application for the change of calling plan is available during the use period but its use is available starting from a day after the expiration of use. (Available to change once within the use period)
  • In case of the said month of opening, 10% shall be applied for computation. In case of cancellation, temporary stop service, and right termination, a basic plan shall be provided only at the cancellation of termination and cancellation of stop service on the said month. After the said month, data will be lost. It will be available to use the normal service after charging.
  • If the charging is not completed within seven days after the opening, you may subject to the cancellation of opening or the termination of right.
  • If no separate detail is specified in the calling plan, said voice call, text message, and data call shall be provided only in Korea.
